Goitre is the disease related to our throat. In this sickness the throat
muscles increase unlimited it looks like very big ball at our throat. It became
like a garland that’s why it also called the ‘KanthMaala’ (कंठमाला). According to Ayurveda it
has two name kanthmala and gandmala. These are also the two stages of this
disease.
One Stage the Gandmala stands mean that there generates the knots in the
body in any specific parts. It can be seen in the series of knots as due to knots it is also called the
Gandmala in hindi.
2nd Stage is Apchi or Kanthmala:- In this stage the muscle will
swallow to its optimum level and it get ripe and then Posset (फट जाना). This routine
continues again and again by this way the mark contains again and again by each
posset. This is called Kanthmala or Apchi.
