Raksha Bandhan is the great festival in India. It is celebrated in the love
of brother and sister. This festival connected with our multiple ancient
religious scripts. We are explaining here all the rare ancient events which are
the responsible for this great festival Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi.
According to Future Mythology (Bhavisya Purana) - Once when there were big war in between the deity and demons. So in battle
when then deity king Indra began losing the war then he reached to his master
for protection then Indra’s wife was listening all the things and then she take
a thead and energized that cotton thread with spells in tied that on the wrist of
Indra. Which have protected him. That day was the Full Moon day mean that was
Purnima.
Why Raksha Bandhan Festival Celebrated |
According to Shree Madbhagwad Katha – God Visnu come in the Form of Vamana Beggar and asks begging to Demon
king Bali. Bali promise Vamana to offer three feet ground to him. But just in
three feet Vamana complete all worlds even third step was on the head of demon
king bali.

At that time Demon King Bali got the living place in Pataal Lok (Hades).
Due to Bhakti Power of Demon King Bali, He has taken promise to God Vishnu to
live in Pataal lok with him all time and that’s happened. This thing make
unhappy to Goddess Laxmi and then with the advice of Narad Muni ji, Goddess
laxmi tied the Rakhi on the wrist of demon king Bali. Bring the God with her
again. That day was also Full Moon day or Purnima.

One More ancient event of Lord Shree Krishna: When Shree Krishna Punished the Shishupal then his little finger hurt and
before blood fallen down, Draupadi torn the piece of her Saree and tied it on
his little finger. This thing lord Krishna returned when her Saree put down by Dushasana
in gambling. Shree Krishna extended her Saree and save her respect.

Sister tied the Rakhi to her brother with great wishes and then brother offer
